Q. What are the goals of TUNAA?

A. To provide support in attracting high caliber student-athletes; to make selective, financial and resource investments to the University’s athletics program; to give primacy to developing an outstanding intercollegiate athletics program at TU; review, evaluate, recommend and support fund raising activities and programs to advance the athletics program; and to provide assistance and leadership in meeting the goals of the athletics program.

Q. What is the Special Athletics Fund?

A. This is a restricted account to support the intercollegiate athletics program. Gifts to the fund may be for scholarships, operating expenses, capital improvements, books, or undesignated.

Q. Does the Special Athletic Fund provide for emergency needs?

A. No it does not. A standing executive committee comprised of both Association and University officials will meet periodically to consider the most important long term needs of each of the varsity sports.

Q. What other support can the community offer the program?

A. Some supporters may prefer to provide goods and services. These types of gifts may take the form of items that can provide a savings to the athletics budget, such as food, printing, advertising, athletics equipment and supplies.

Q. What are the varsity sports at Tuskegee?

A. Baseball, Basketball (men and women), Cross Country (men and women), Football, Tennis (men and women), Track and Field (men and women), Volleyball (women).

Q. Why are financial contributions important?

A.  Contributions help in providing an enriching opportunity for both men’s and women’s athletics programs.
