Tuskegee football to air on ESPNU and HSRN
TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Tuskegee’s television schedule for the 2011 season is highlighted by ESPNU’s live broadcast of the 88th Annual Turkey Day Football Classic.
The game pits the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee against the Hornets of Alabama State.
The Thanksgiving Day broadcast of the nation’s oldest HBCU football rivalry will be televised live at 3 p.m. CST on ESPNU for the third consecutive season.
The 2011 Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) will carry two Tuskegee football games.
HSRN will air the 77th Annual Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic from A. J. McClung Stadium in Columbus, Ga., as well as the Turkey Day Football Classic from newly refurbished Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
The Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) will broadcast 23 football games including the Super 7 Series of classic events. The broadcasts will be national on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and on local stations across the country.
HSRN will kickoff the schedule on (Sept. 1) with the Division I FBS vs. Division I FCS match-up in Piscataway, NJ, N. C. Central and Rutgers.
The Golden Tigers downed Alabama State 17-10 and Morehouse 31-15, en route to a 9-2 record in 2010.
Tuskegee will report for Fall camp on Aug. 10.
The Golden Tigers will open the season on Sept. 10, hosting the Langston University Lions (Oklahoma) at Abbott Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
